The following applies to Aphrodites Hotel, Windermere Boutique and Windermere Tranquil Retreat.
For customers booked to stay at the Windermere Tranquil Retreat and/or Windermere Spa Suites there will be a pre authorisation charge of £100 at reception upon arrival. This money is held by the bank for 10-14 days before returning to the customers account. This £100 stands as a deposit which will be claimed by the hotel in the case of room/item damage, noise disturbance or any unsociable behaviour during the customers stay.
All prices are per room per night, bed and breakfast based on 2 people sharing. You also get complimentary use of the pool and spa throughout your stay.
Aphrodites reserve the right to change your room or suite if circumstances dictate that the room is non-operational.
Treatments are available at an additional cost.
The hotel does not guarantee WIFI/internet due to occasional external connectivity issues.
Aphrodites Hotel, Windermere Tranquil Retreat and Windermere Boutique are completely non-smoking in the premises and grounds.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children or pets at Aphrodites Hotel, Windermere Tranquil Retreat or Windermere Boutique Spa Suites, with the exception of guide dogs.
The Windermere Tranquil Retreat and Windermere Boutique Spa Suites are located within half a mile of the main hotel.
Rooms and suites booked are non-transferrable.
We ask that all guests respect their suite and surroundings, please be aware that the management have the right to evict guests for antisocial or unreasonable behaviour without refund. Any guest found to be causing a disturbance, to include noise pollution, that results in a complaint from another guest will be charged a fee from the card used to secure booking.
If there are any breakages or damage to hotel property, or items missing from within the hotel we will charge the card used to secure booking or the card used during your stay.
Please note that we allow up to 3 hours to clean the rooms and suites, if the room is left in such a state that requires extra cleaning or deep cleaning there will an extra housekeeping charge of £25 per hour, this will be charged automatically to the card used to secure the booking or the card used during your stay.
Spa Baths and Hot Tubs, with consideration to other clients please do not use the spa baths or hot tubs between 10.30pm and 8.30 am. Please do not add any bath oils or bubbles to the hot tubs, damages to the filter system will be charged to card used to secure booking or the card used during your stay.
Gift & Cancellation vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Aphrodites Hotel will not be liable for any change or cancellation of any reservation that is caused, in whole or in part, by events, occurrences, or causes beyond the control of Aphrodites Hotel. Such events, occurrences, or causes include, without limitation, acts of God, terrorist activities, weather, strikes, lockouts, riots, acts of war, earthquake, volcanic activity, ash clouds, tsunamis, fire and explosions.
Check In & Check Out
Check in time for all rooms and suites is between 3pm and 10pm. All guests must check in at Aphrodites main hotel. Although we do our upmost to ensure rooms are ready by this time, there may be occasions when due to circumstances beyond our control, there may be a slight delay.
Upon check in the original card used to book must be produced. Failure to do so will result in the original card being refunded in full and the full balance taken from a card in your name. Unfortunately, if you are unable to provide a card in your own name we will not be able to honour your booking.
Check out time for all rooms and suites is 10.30 am, late check out is available on selected suites only at an additional cost of £30 until 12 noon.
All keys must be handed back to reception at Aphrodites main hotel upon departure, for replacement locks and lost keys the guests account will be charged a minimum of £200.00
Aphrodites Hotel has parking for 14 cars. Windermere Boutique Spa Suites and Windermere Tranquil Retreat have individual private parking.
A deposit of £150 or 50% on bookings greater than £300.00 is payable at time of booking for all rooms. Full balance and pre ordered extras must be paid for on arrival.
We do not accept 3rd party bookings, the booking must be made by the person who is the guest and final payment must be made on the original card on check in, if this card is not available you will be asked to produce another card in your name where the full amount of the booking will be charged. The original card refunded in full. Unfortunately, if you are unable to provide a card in your name we will not honour your booking.
If you wish to cancel your booking please advise us as soon as possible, this must be in writing either by email or we recommend recorded delivery if using the post system. We do not accept cancellations over the telephone.
If cancelled 14 days prior to arrival the deposit will be refunded by way of voucher.
If cancelled less than 14 days before arrival or in the case of a no show the full amount of the reservation will be charged.
We would then endeavour to resell your room under the same terms of your booking. If we are able to resell, we will refund by way of voucher which will be valid for 12 months from date of booking. An administration charge of £35 will be deducted from the value of the voucher.
In extreme cases and at the discretion of the directors of the business where a headed doctor of hospital note is provided a gift voucher may be available.
We strongly recommend travel insurance is taken out.
Complaints WILL NOT be replied to if posted on any online platforms eg tripavisor, booking.com, expedia, facebook, twitter, Airbnb etc. Complaints MUST be reported within 4 days of departure date through our designated complaints email address below. Issues that could have been resolved, however not brought to the attention of the staff during your stay will not be replied to.
Genuine issues and justified complaints will be rectified by way of voucher towards a future stay, we have a strict no refunds policy in place. Aphrodites Hotel Groups legal department reserve the right to financially pursue any parties who post slanderous comments on any online platforms. Loss of or Damage to Guests property
Under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956, an hotel proprietor may in circumstances be liable to make good any loss of or damage to a guest’s property even though it was not due to any fault of the proprietor of staff of the hotel.
This liability however-
(a) Extends only to the property of the guests who have engaged sleeping accommodation at the hotel;
(b) Is limited to £50 for any one article and a total of £100 in the case of any one guest, except in the case of property which has been deposited. Or offered for deposit, for safe custody;
(c) Does not cover motor cars or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them, or horses or other live animals
Lost Property is stored for 28 days then all items are discarded of.
This notice does not constitute an admission either that the Act applies to this hotel or that liability there under attaches to the proprietor of this hotel in any case. By signing this document, you agree to the free WI-FI terms and conditions of use, your unique code is provided within your bedroom browser within bedrooms and suites.
Aphrodites Hotel, Windermere Tranquil Retreat and Windermere Boutique are strictly no smoking.
If a guest is found to be smoking within the rooms or the grounds there will be a charge of up to £250 from the card used to secure booking and they will be asked to leave immediately with no refund given.
